Apply the oil to the skin and massage in long strokes. For a more comfortable experience, massage from the heart outwards rather than inwards. Alternate gentle caresses with firmer strokes and higher pressure, ensuring that any tension in the muscles is released.
For an enhanced experience, warm the massage oil in a hot water bath before applying to the body. Pour the oil you intend to use into a small drinking glass and place in a bowl with hot water for five minutes. Hot tap water at around 45 degrees Celsius will do. This also releases some of the essential oils into the air, creating a wonderful atmosphere with the fragrance of your choice.
